Janet McCormick is a native Washingtonian retired Social Worker with an art history undergraduate major.  She began pottery in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a community program designed to enrich an impoverished neighborhood.  She continues to work in studios in the Metro area and most recently began designing mud cloth pieces on white and dark brown clay bodies.
